Christine Parsons is a multi-disciplinary artist working as sculptor, ceramicist, film maker and painter. Christine makes works exploring the relation between self and body. She focuses on experimentation with materials through a process of combining, manipulating, distorting and ultimately change. She merges the strange and mundane to reveal and sometimes conceal the exquisite craft of the artist. Christine’s recent series of paintings use silhouette and marks to create a pictorial surface that interfaces between the socially constructed exterior and tensions with the interior.
